In his national bestseller,
The End of Marketing as We Know It, Sergio Zyman offered what we believe are
several key, distilled essentials of Marketing:
- "Without strategies, you aren't going anywhere"
- "Marketing is science" (actually "marketing is more science
than art")
- "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow"
- "Don't count people - count results"
Al Ries and Jack Trout, in their classic work, Positioning,
offer another key:
- Companies and brands must "create a 'position' in the
mind...one that takes into consideration not only [ones] own
strengths and weaknesses, but those of competitors as well".
And, our personal experiences in developing value
propositions within the healthcare marketing place since 1990
tell us:
- If you've not determined and conveyed the delivered value of your product or
service from a customer's point of view, you might as well be
speaking a foreign language.
By focusing our consulting practices on these core
ideas, we at The Marketing Connexion can "raise the bar"
on how your marketing efforts are viewed, used and produce better business
results. |
